What’s SeamKing, why is it so exciting, who should use it, and how does it work?

At Elevated Industrial Solutions, we’ve gotten ahold of a product that is generating a lot of excitement among stoneworkers, kitchen remodelers, and countertop fabricators and installers. It’s called SeamKing Pro. And it’s changing the way some people deal with stonework.

We let many of our customers preview it, and so far nearly everyone loves it.

What is SeamKing Pro

SeamKing Pro is a bulk, knife-grade stone seam adhesive for stone fabricators and installers.

The base is 100% acrylic resin and comes in two opacities: Crystal and Chameleon. Crystal is clear and Chameleon is a trans-white. Either can be paired with pigments. The base comes in 4 options: quart (bag), gallon, 5-gallon bucket, and a box of four buckets. The bags make dispensing easy and with reduced or no mess. It squeezes out like a tube of toothpaste!

A hardener is available in a convenient 2-ounce pump bottle for precise mixing. Larger sizes are available for those who need more, coming in 1-pound or gallon canisters.

Colors are also available in pumps. SeamKing has a variety of colors to mix – 32 different options – that make it easy to match. SeamKing has an app that makes pigment simple, measuring color-matching by the pumps. (See below!)

Mix a little or a lot depending on the job. It even comes in a kit, with some options for different types of stone.

There are a lot of reasons for anyone in the countertop or kitchen remodeling industry as well as those simply working with stone to be happy about SeamKing Pro. Here are just some of the benefits of this new product:

  • The packaging offers easy storage.
  • There’s minimal waste using SeamKing as it drips less.
  • The dispensing bags and pumps reduce or eliminate mess. Dripping may be a thing of the past!
  • Unlike pre-tinted cartridges, mix as you need in the field doing installations or repairs. SeamKing makes repairs a breeze!
  • It puts the artistry back into the countertop business, appealing to workers who enjoy hand-mixing colors.
  • Bulk options are available if your business goes through a lot of countertop seam adhesive.
  • This product has an ultra-clear coloration for truer colors.
  • The 100% acrylic polymer uses a proprietary formula to ensure the highest strength bonds.
  • It’s 100% UV stable for outdoor applications. If you’re a company focusing on outside kitchens, this may be the perfect product for you. And by handling inside and outside, it reduces the number of adhesives you need to keep.
  • This seam adhesive is BPO-free and won’t turn yellow.
  • Like most of the options out there, it has a 1-year shelf life.
  • This high-quality adhesive delivers maximum seam strength with a 5-minute work time and 20-minute gel time.
  • It’s even made in the U.S.

SeamKing is yet another tool in your countertop or stoneworking arsenal to handle the issues that come up as well as ensure customer satisfaction.

Who is SeamKing Pro for

SeamKing is the perfect solution for any stone worker. Because it’s 100% UV stable, it’s ideal for anyone working on outside countertops or where there’s a considerable amount of sunlight. If you provide indoor and outdoor kitchens, it’s a great product to reduce what you need to carry to each job site. It’s also a good option for anyone doing installs or repairs as it glides on easily. In other words, general contractors may benefit from this product, too.

How does it work

Download the SeamKing app in iTunes or Google Play Store. After you do so, look up the name of the stone and the color. SeamKing provides the formulas for the resin (or base), hardener, and pigment (and the order in which to add products) so you can determine how much of each you need based on how large your surface area is. The app even provides instructions about when to mix.

Pro tip: Mix slowly to reduce air bubbles entering the finished product.

Example: Alleanza Quartz, Amalfi Coast

In this example, for a two-foot seam, you’ll need:

  • Resin: 4 inches
  • Pigments: Arctic: 4 drops
  • Hardener: 2 pumps
