Elevated Industrial Solutions is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team!

About the position: Corporate Staff Accountant

The Corporate Staff Accountant will work from our Denver, CO corporate headquarters and will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting and reporting activities, including the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions for entities operating in multiple states. This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule after 90 days. 

What you’ll do in the role

• Enter corporate and location-level non-inventory accounts payable.
• Liaise with human resources to ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll into accounting system.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of various monthly journal entries to support a timely month-end close.
• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank accounts, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, company credit cards, and expense accruals/prepaids accounts.
• Analyze and record intercompany activity for inventory, expenses, and cash transfers.
• Provide assistance with A/R and A/P functions as needed.
• Monitor the accuracy of customer accounts receivable and accounts payable inputs from all locations.
• Prepare and record sales & use tax returns for the multiple jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
• Assist with various ad-hoc accounting projects on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting highly preferred; will consider equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum two years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Previous experience with Business Central ERP highly desirable, but not required.
• Engaging team player who takes ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; high attention to detail a must.
• Flexibility to adapt to a growing, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
