About the position: Service Manager

Elevated Industrial Solutions is looking for a Service Manager. The Service Manager will work from our Fountain Inn, SC location and will report to the General Manager of our South Carolina branch. This position is responsible for maintaining customer relationships and improving response and delivery times, resolving service problems and customer complaints, supervising members of the Service team and maintenance of rental fleet.  Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  

What you’ll do in the role

  • Develop and implement service standards and procedures for the service department.
  • Update service methods to improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop service schedules covering both preventative maintenance and compressor repairs.
  • Maintain customer relationships and improve response and delivery times.
  • Resolve service problems and customer complaints.
  • Service Manager will recruit, retain, coach, develop and manage performance of technicians.
  • Implement, follow, and document a training plan for members of the service team.
  • Complete quarterly performance review with technicians
  • Participate in performance review process for service department office staff.
  • Maintain accurate customer equipment records including rental and used inventory.
  • Manage and oversee the warehouse employees and inventory.
  • Process manufacturer warranty claims
  • Maintain compressor rental fleet.
  • Create and present regular reports to senior management.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while enforcing safety procedures and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. 
  • Complete manufacturer equipment service training to achieve master technician accreditation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a service manager in a distribution or service environment working with compressed air systems.
  • Strong communication skills and good phone presence
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven data entry skills
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business
