The benefits of cordless tools for assembly applications

Cordless tools are a popular choice for assembly applications. Compared to their corded counterparts, cordless options offer several key benefits. These devices have come a long way since the 2020s. Read on to learn why cordless tools might work for your facility.

Quieter

Cordless tools are significantly quieter than many of the corded options available today. The silence provides a more pleasant work environment, reducing the strain on the ears of your workforce.

It may also be less expensive as it may lower your insurance costs and reduce the need for ear protection.

Economical and safe

These mobile tools are also generally more economical than corded alternatives. As noted above, they save money on ear protection and decrease tripping hazards that could result in insurance claims. So, while cordless tools may be a larger upfront investment, they generally offer reduced operations costs in the long run.

Batteries, which used to cost more, have come down in price since the 2020s. They’re also longer-lasting these days, needing fewer recharges.

Plus, without tripping hazards, cordless tools are safer!

Flexibility

Because cordless tools aren’t tethered to power sources, your work is more flexible. You can operate these tools from anywhere, accommodating confined workspaces or working with odd angles.

Lightweight

Many of today’s cordless tools use lithium-ion batteries. These batteries can hold a notable charge for your assembly needs within a comparatively lightweight tool. The lighter the tool, the lower the risk of worker fatigue and the greater the productivity in your workspace.

Despite being lightweight, modern cordless tools have the capacity of many corded alternatives. This allows for a much broader application of cordless tools than was previously possible.
