Benefits of used assembly tools

When it comes to used tools, our customers see a lot of benefits. It’s, obviously, less expensive saving your department budget, but money isn’t the only reason to purchase a used assembly tool.

Used tools …

  • Are more cost-effective than new tools (as mentioned)
  • Include discontinued tools for those specific jobs you have where only one tool works
  • Work just as well as a new assembly tool
  • Have been through our maintenance and calibration program
  • Come with our warranty – a guarantee

Maintenance and calibration program

So, how do you know it’s a perfectly good used tool? (What does that refurbishment program look like?) We have nine steps to ensure every tool we touch can be used at your facility with confidence. Our team of experts does the following:

  • Disassemble and clean
  • Inspect all internal components for wear
  • Repair as necessary
  • Apply new grease
  • Reassemble
  • Conduct a velocity test
  • Conduct a torque test
  • Create a tool rundown
  • Calibrate with our A2LA-accredited experts to meet compliance standards

Repairs

Okay, so what do repairs for tools look like? Repairs include a fully functional system test and runoff. Each tool is calibrated to OEM spec and A2LA accredited ISO 17025 compliance as well as backed by our warranty. We have all the necessary closed-loop systems for accuracy and testing, with preventive maintenance (PMs) and/or replacement parts provided for common failure components. A failure analysis report and pertinent scope of work are recorded with every repair.

Beyond used assembly tools

We have an extensive inventory of new and discontinued tools and controllers. We stock common failure parts to ensure Elevated can support all your older (discontinued) tools, including Atlas Copco DC torque-fastening equipment. It’s and we have managed to save several companies thousand of dollars by postponing their costly upgrades to newer equipment.
