About the position: Purchasing Manager

Elevated Industrial Solutions is hiring a Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain leader with strong leadership skills to build and oversee procurement for a fast-growing distributor. Purchasing oversite includes capital equipment and industrial supplies for domestic companies.  This role is onsite in our Headquarters located in Denver, CO and will report to the Vice President of operations.

What you’ll do in the role

• Structure, coach, develop and manage the performance of a team of Purchasing Specialists.
• Generate Key Performance Indicators reporting based on inventory levels, usage trends, and lead times to assist with inventory purchase decisions.
• Manage supplier relationships. negotiating best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on company purchasing needs and scheduling requirements.
• Analyze inventory levels and determine replenishment needs to maintain adequate inventories at multiple locations.
• Identify new vendors, establish qualifications, track material availability, pricing, and lead times.
• Assess and enhance the organization’s existing purchasing systems and processes to achieve greater efficiencies and cost savings.
• Work cross functional to manage and communicate product availability.
• Oversee data integrity within purchasing systems, including ongoing pricing updates and vendor data accuracy.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Supply Chain Management or similar degree required.
• 5 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, data analysis, or similar field required.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience required.
• MRP planning experience.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Excel and databases)
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage with independent problem solving and good decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with vendors and Company personnel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
• Previous experience working in a distribution environment preferred.
